Code of Conduct
Policy Against Harassment or Violence
At Etsy, we strive to foster a conference environment that is welcoming, positive, and respectful to all participants, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, age, disability, physical appearance, national origin, ethnicity, or religion. Harassment, discrimination, or violent behavior is counter to Etsy’s company values and more importantly, our values as human beings. We will not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or violent behavior towards conference participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers) in any form—in person or online.
In order to allow all participants to focus on the conference itself and the great networking and community building that happens at conferences, we expect all participants to follow this Code of Conduct. This includes conference-related social events at off-site locations, and in related online communities and social media.
Examples of unacceptable behavior include, but are not limited to, offensive comments, verbal threats or demands, sexualized images in public spaces, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of sessions or events, unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention, violence, threats of violence, or violent or discriminatory language directed against another person.
If you are being harassed or discriminated against, notice that someone else is being harassed or discriminated against, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of Etsy’s conference staff immediately. If a participant violates this Code of Conduct, Etsy may take any action we deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the conference without a refund, banning the offender from future events, and/or contacting law enforcement.
